Electrical Test Engineer / Supervisor (November 2025)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer / Supervisor to join our team, responsible for overseeing and carrying out the electrical testing of industrial products within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead or mentor others in a busy production setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical testing and inspection of industrial products in line with company procedures and relevant standards.
  • Supervise and support test technicians, ensuring safe and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate test records, reports, and documentation.
  • Identify faults, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the testing area.
  • Liaise with production, engineering, and quality departments to support timely product delivery.
  • Support engineering with customer FAT activities

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in electrical testing of industrial or manufacturing products.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Good understanding of testing equipment and methods.
  • High numeracy skills with the ability to understand technical data and measurements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in a supervisory or team-leader role.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Formal engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent.
